Oakley Hall Hotel Wedding Photography

I’m John, a professional Hampshire wedding photographer. Welcome to my Oakley Hall Hotel wedding photography page.

Located just outside of Basingstoke, this period manor house is surrounded by over 300 acres of grounds that provide incredible settings to capture magical wedding photography.

Oakley Hall Hotel is a truly stunning wedding venue with a number of beautiful backdrops for photos.

Full of rich history and beauty, Oakley Hall was built in 1795 and has welcomed some famous guests in its time, including Jane Austen. At that time the Bramston family were the owners, and it’s said that Mrs Bramston provided Austen with character inspiration for Lady Bertram in her novel Mansfield Park. And you really do feel like you’re in a Jane Austen novel when you take a look around the grounds and feel the Georgian charm of the manor.

In recent years, Oakley Hall Hotel has acted as a venue for weddings, meetings, conferences and stylish events, and in 2009 it established itself as one of the leading hotels in Hampshire.  Since a major restoration project in 2014, Oakley Hall Hotel is a Hampshire wedding venue that is really worth considering.

The surrounding landscape provides spectacular views all year round. From the lush greenery and gardens throughout the spring and summer to the golden hues of autumn followed by crisp winter scenes, it really is a photographer’s dream venue.

Whether you’re planning a small and intimate ceremony, or a large-scale wedding, you have a choice of several rooms that are all licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships. Not only that, they’re all absolutely stunning and there is a brand-new Garden Pavilion which can hold up to 350 guests. You can also get exclusive use of the Oakley Hall Hotel, so you and your guests can have private access to the house, all the bedrooms and a whopping 315 acres of grounds.

Whatever season you choose to get married in, you’ll want photographs that capture the true essence of your Oakley Hall Hotel wedding. My approach is often referred to as ‘reportage’ or ‘documentary’ style photography, meaning I capture those authentic and raw moments that show the character of your guests and the elegance of your venue. I do all of this discreetly, without telling you how to pose and what to do. Just think of me as an extra wedding guest.
