WEST DEAN GARDENS Wedding - CHICHESTER
Helen & Thomas

I really enjoyed being involved on Helen and Thomas’s big day. As I now look back through the pictures, I’m ever so pleased about the weather we had. I find working with beautiful light can really enhance things, making everything a little more magical. I loved photographing Helen and Thomas at what is often described as golden hour. They were happily just being themselves. That was all I could have asked for, it was great to see.

The day also had some really nice colours on show. The first couple of things that come to mind is Thomas’s mother’s dress and the flowers. Another highlight for me was the wind after we had come out of the church. It aided me in getting one of my favourite images, which was Helen’s veil blowing in her new husband’s face with them both seeing the funny side.

When I one day look back over the weddings I've photographed and I think about the speeches, one of the first people that will no doubt come to mind is Helen’s dad. I’ve seen him speak twice now and always loved how he delivers his speeches. They are completely unique and for this one he really made me and others chuckle. It was very clear that there’s a lot of love in his words and I like the rhyming about different things he remembers from the past as a father. Enjoy watching the highlights slideshow and looking through some of my favourite images from the day.
