Brympton House Wedding Photographer

Alice & Joe

Alice and Joe’s wedding is a particularly good example of why I love photographing at Brympton House.

I started the day with Joe, his brother and friends before photographing guests arriving. Then I headed upstairs to the bridal suite to spend some time with Alice and her friends. Alice was wonderfully relaxed, which always makes photographing those preparations so enjoyable. The bridal suite was full of beautiful light, and with Alice in her dress, the whole scene felt almost like a fashion shoot. It was one of those occasions when the surroundings, the light and the person in front of me all came together perfectly. From there, we headed to the stairs for the moment when Alice’s dad, in uniform, saw Alice for the first time before the ceremony.

The ceremony itself was incredibly atmospheric, with some beautiful singing that I found genuinely moving. There was even a moment when I became so absorbed in what was happening that I failed to notice a candle burning a hole in my jacket! Thankfully, I survived.

After the ceremony came an energetic confetti run, congratulations from friends and family and a little time for Alice and Joe to have some photographs together in the grounds.

Then it was into the wedding breakfast for food and speeches. The speeches were brilliant — particularly Isaac’s story about Joe’s childhood, which produced plenty of laughter. Later, Alice and Joe cut the cake in spectacular fashion before heading into their first dance.

It was a fantastic wedding, and one I still love looking back through.

“What can I say - thank you so much! These are really beautiful and capture some amazing moments of us and of all our guests - as well of Brympton itself. We’re so happy with them and have been looking through them all weekend. You’ve done an amazing job.”
