Brympton HOUSE WEDDING Photography

Kerry and Bernhard

I’ve always loved being at Brympton House, which is one of my very favourite wedding venues. It seemed like only just yesterday that I first met Kerry and her Mom via video call to talk through the day. We had to deal with a lag in communication which made for a rather funny call at times.

The day finally came. I started by walking around the grounds, which I never get tired of doing each time I visit. I then made my way up to the house itself where I finally met Kerry and Bernie in real life. They were both looking relaxed and at ease, which was great to see.

It was then time for the church service, which had a lovely and intimate atmosphere throughout. A key highlight in my career, capturing one of Bernie’s best men heroically waving a fly away at a special time in the service. We then headed out to the front of the house for the confetti run. I loved how visually impressive the scene looked with the house in the background. We then headed out to the grounds where family and friends mingled before the cutting of the cake.

I always look forward to doing couple photos and again Kerry and Bernie being at ease throughout this time together made it all worth it. I love looking back at the images of them together. Now to a major highlight which I wasn’t expecting to see - Kerry’s mother singing so beautifully in the great hall. She moved everyone with her singing voice. It really was wonderful.

The food and speeches followed, which ended with more singing and Kerry and Bernie’s friends embracing the happy couple. Now, for me, I have no idea why this doesn’t happen more at weddings, but Kerry's Dad appearing on the dance floor after the first dance, and also Bernie’s mother appereing with Bernie was great to see. This made for a lovely ending to this very special day. Enjoy watching this highlights slideshow and viewing some of my favourite images.
